Context: The Ministry of Women and Child Development launched PANKHUDI, an integrated digital portal for CSR and partnership facilitation, on 8 January 2026. The portal was inaugurated by Union Minister Annpurna Devi, with participation of senior leadership of the Ministry.
PANKHUDI:
- PANKHUDI is a single-window, technology-enabled digital platform designed to bring together:
- Individuals and NRIs
- NGOs and civil society organisations
- Corporate entities and CSR contributors
- Central and State Government agencies
- It enables structured collaboration in key areas of women and child development such as nutrition, health, Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), child protection and rehabilitation, and women’s safety and empowerment.
Objectives and Key Features
- Ease of Doing CSR: Simplifies engagement between private contributors and government through standardised workflows
- Transparency and Accountability:
- Defined approval processes
- Proposal tracking and monitoring
- Mandatory non-cash contributions for financial traceability
- Convergence and Coordination: Provides a common digital interface for voluntary and institutional efforts
- Outcome Orientation: Focuses on measurable social impact rather than fragmented interventions
Alignment with Flagship Missions
- PANKHUDI strengthens implementation of major government programmes:
- Mission Saksham Anganwadi & Poshan 2.0 – nutrition and early childhood development
- Mission Vatsalya – child protection and welfare
- Mission Shakti – women’s safety, protection, and empowerment
- The portal channels CSR and voluntary resources into these missions in a structured and mission-aligned manner.
