- Five panchayats from Andhra Pradesh have won national awards announced by the Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj under the Deendayal Upadhyay Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar–2025 and Nanaji Deshmukh Sarvottam Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar–2025.
- With five awards, Andhra Pradesh secured the second position nationally, along with Odisha, while Karnataka stood first with six awards.
- Under the good governance category, Sringavaram panchayat in Nathavaram mandal of Visakhapatnam district secured the first rank and won a cash prize of ₹1 crore.
- In the women-friendly category, Bokkasampalem panchayat in Srikalahasti mandal also secured first rank and received ₹1 crore.
- In the poverty eradication and livelihood improvement category, Chemullapalli panchayat in Kazipet mandal secured second rank and won ₹75 lakh.
- Under the self-reliant infrastructure category, Gundamala panchayat in Kothapatnam mandal secured third rank and received ₹25 lakh.
- Under the category of best block panchayat, Kuppam secured third rank and won a cash prize of ₹1.50 crore under the Nanaji Deshmukh Sarvottam Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar–2025.
- Across the country, rankings were announced for 34 gram panchayats under the Deendayal Upadhyay Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar, with cash prizes ranging from ₹25 lakh to ₹1 crore. Under the Nanaji Deshmukh Sarvottam Panchayat Satat Vikas Puraskar, eight panchayats were selected for awards ranging from ₹50 lakh to ₹5 crore.
- The award presentation ceremony will be held in Delhi on June 3. The Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj presents these awards annually to encourage best-performing panchayats across the country.
