- The AP Public Employment Order–2025, issued for 26 districts, has been approved by the State Cabinet for implementation and publication in the state gazette.
- Once the state government issues the gazette notification, the existing Public Employment Order–1975 will be repealed.
- With the new order coming into force, the system will be reorganised into 26 districts, six zones, and two multi-zones.
- This framework will be used as the basis for recruitment and transfers.
- Earlier, local candidature was determined based on the undivided 13 districts, but under the new system, it will be based on 26 districts.
- Further, state-level posts will be brought under the multi-zonal cadre system.
Under Multi-Zone–1:
- Zone–1 includes Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam, Visakhapatnam, and Anakapalli.
- Zone–2 includes Alluri Sitarama Raju, Kakinada, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema, and East Godavari.
- Zone–3 includes West Godavari, Eluru, NTR, and Krishna.
Under Multi-Zone–2:
- Zone–4 includes Guntur, Palnadu, Bapatla, Prakasam, Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore.
- Zone–5 includes Tirupati, Chittoor, YSR Kadapa, Annamayya
- Zone–6 includes Anantapur, Sri Sathya Sai, Kurnool, and Nandyal.
